Tips for a good service agreement

  1. 1

Describe the services as results the client can check, not as hours.

  2. 2

Write the fee with the currency and say whether tax is extra.

  3. 3

Put payment terms in days from the invoice date, for example 15 days.

  4. 4

Set a notice period so either side can end the work cleanly.

Questions

What is the difference between a service agreement and a statement of work?

The service agreement sets the overall terms. A statement of work describes one project under those terms. Many firms sign one agreement and then a short statement of work for each project.

Can I change the wording?

Yes. Open the template in SignKaro, fill in the blanks, and change any line yourself or ask the built-in AI to rewrite a clause. Then send it for signature.

Is this template legal advice?

No. It is a plain-language starting point. Laws differ by country and state, so ask a lawyer to review contracts that carry real risk.
