Questions
What is a SHA-256 hash?
A 64-character fingerprint of a file. If even one byte of the file changes, the fingerprint changes completely. Matching hashes mean the files are identical.
How do I check a SignKaro document?
The certificate page of every signed SignKaro PDF lists the "Original document SHA-256". Check the file the sender uploaded here, and the hash should match that line exactly.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Your browser reads the file and computes the hash on your device with the Web Crypto API. Nothing is sent to SignKaro.
Does it work for files other than PDFs?
Yes. It works for any file type. Very large files can take a few seconds.
